Confusion in the field

This is becoming more and more of a problem but as lately I can’t find very many teams that actually aren’t out to make a name or something.

I am working on 2 cases out of my reach where someone has described horrifying events that they are experiencing, one relatively violent.
On both cases many were contacted and none were capable of resolving this issue. When I mention a violent case, they dont bother answering the messages at all.
I had asked one team owner and he said this when I asked him if he cleansed:
“No our team is 100% science based.” Really?

You have tools and instruments and a SOP for documentation of paranormal phenomenon approved by a science organization? I mean I use a few electronic devices which can be found in most investigators travel bags. I look for repetition.
Does that make me a scientist?
That is what makes something qualify for a scientific study right? The ability to recreate something?
Or perhaps a cross-reference of 3 different observation that point to the same thing?

So what are these people trying to achieve? A good catch for fame and fortune?
If a client calls with strange happenings in their home and children are on the location and all hell breaks loose, what are these teams going to do?

Nothing at all but leave the clients in peril.

Murrysville Paranormal U.K.

Early this summer I had taken on a client from London England via FB that had approached me with some questions in the paranormal. It had developed into a case and I had contacted several groups and investigators through out England to find some assistance for my client to no avail. This was a true concern and no one wanted to touch it and could only reccommend other investigators.
To make a long story short there was not a single investigator that handled malevent hauntings.

I felt this just would not due. So I searched for possible members to spearhead the founding of a group. Finding one possibility I made contact. These usually end up going no where.

Today Zehra Hussein and Saiqua Tajdin took it upon themselves to meet and establish contact. After a 3 hour meeting, Case Manager Zehra Hussein reported the discussion back to me.

Saiqua, Team Leader in training is almost finished with a portion of theory that had been recommenden by me and is eagerly awaiting more challenges.

These self motivated individuals are nothing short of excellent with the amount of drive that will lead to a very successful team.

These are the kind of inviduals that qualify to represent Murrysville Paranormal with the highest of standards. I don’t say this because I am engaged with Zehra, you can ask someone I was formally related last Saturday for that answer. I say this because it is what I am observing. Go Getters that can not wait to serve the community where others are failing.
These two wonderful ladies have taken a thought I had and have began shaping it into reality.
Could one possibly be any prouder than I right now?
I think not.

Randolph House in Pulaski Va

At the request of one of the team members wanting to go on another investigation after a few empty hunts I called up my friend and fellow investigator Marie Franklin and set up a hunt at the Randolph House.
After networking for a few weeks we finally got it set up. Unfortunately after a bad health risk at on our last investigation the team member that wanted to go was ill. The hunt was free and only costed me the usual rental, (Thank you Enterprise in Murrysville) so I was going one way or the other. As usual invited guests also bailed out, and I have to tell you guys that missed this. YOU MISSED OUT.

After a high speed ride down the Virginias I got there exactly when I planned to 8:30 pm. Just in time to get food and fresh batteries before I hooked up with Marie.

We were on Location somewhere about 9:10pm where other investigators I was anxious to meet were unpacking gear. After we got past all of the congenialities we made a hunt plan because of the volume of investigators there. There were several floors and wings to cover.
Marie, Tim and I had teamed up for my orientation of the place then I had planned to investigate with the Downes.
The Downes and I had planned on teaming up for weeks ahead but strangely enough they had left the scene without a single word 1 hour into the investigation. I had drove 5 1/2 hours at a dangerous pace just to make this happen and they just up and left without saying goodbye or even a Pfffffft, heck I would have been cool if someone would have flipped me the bird.

Not only did the Downes Leave but so did everyone else, All of them leaving us behind without a single word. This is not only a NO NO but is extremely rude. There are many dangers in Paranormal investigations and the first rule of thumb is safety first. Not communicating could have left us to believe that some problems arose. It also wasted our time trying to figure out where everyone was or what had happened. That translates to missing possible evidence. After wondering for about a half hour what, how, where, when and why about the others we regroups our thoughts and back to the investigation.

We had went through all the hot spots, there were times and places I picked up cold chills when this place was hot, humid and a constant 86 degrees with no wind factor at all.
During the investigation we closed every door we could because on of the claims and witnessed was doors moving on their own.
To set up this clip. While Marie and Tim were in the attic I was back in one of the areas alone trying to see if I could pick up on the eerie feelings and cold chills I was getting before but alone. While I was down there, I heard a door slam behind me so I went to investigate just in case Marie was hunting me.

We 3 being the only ones in the place and after an extensive clearing of the building making sure no one had entered the building, The clip showing that Tim and Marie had not moved an inch during this time.
The clearing and search took about 15 minutes so I assure you that the property did not have an intruder.
We had returned to the hot spot I was working just before and this had been caught. Once again but this time I ran to hunt the origin of the anomaly and found nothing. Maria and Tim were not prepared for my actions as I went flying down the hallways but on the same note neither was I because I had no clue what direction I was supposed to go. Anyway this is what we got.

Hearing this in person was enough to strip the skin right off your bones.

Later that night Marie had showed me how to use dowsing rods which I quickly put down because of a response I got to one of my questions. I should follow my own mantras with, “If you dont really want to know the answer, dont ask the question”.

Eventually some noisy kids seeing my labelled vehicle outside contaminated the area until the police got involved. This costed more time but we made the best of it.
Watching Tim and Marie handle an EVP session was nothing less than a symphony, This best I had ever seen. They were relentless and thorough for hours on end using the environment and even me to get results and I was impressed.

All in all I was satisfied with investigation excluding the complete rudeness from the other investigators. If your going to request my time, don’t waste it.

Hanging out with Marie was such a pleasure, what a great giving person. Tim, you straight rock Brother.

If you want to investigate this place I would urge you to do so.

Haunted Saltsburg

Saltsburg Pennsylvania is one of the most rustic and idyllic little towns you will ever come across in the middle of the woods.
Nestled in a hidden valley along the Kiskiminetas river, Saltsburg served as a salt transportation center after a salt deposit was discovered near by in 1812.

Saltsburg however has dark side, as of recently we have discovered that it is haunted. There seems to be reports of a few businesses and private residences that have been reporting strange activity and in a series of investigations we intend to bring this dark side into the light.

On a bright autumn day I took a drive through the countryside and made a stop to look around in Saltsburg, it didn’t take look for people to approach me and inform me of some of the strange happenings in and around the town.
Strangely enough all of the places I had an interest in, they pointed me away from.

The first report was of the Stone House Museum. It was reported to me that a spirit named George would have a tendency to move things around at night. After making a few calls the Saltsburg Historical Society contacted me to set up an investigation.
On November 14th I set up at 9pm, The original part of the building which was just the front portion of it was where I had concentrated my efforts using Sony Handycams on each side.

During my walk through I had discovered that the addition to the building had a very high EMF reading from one end to the other right down the center. This told me that something was incorrect with the wiring of the place and I had reported this to one of the curators. During a sweep of the basement I had confirmed this by discovering that the power main was not grounded.

It was about 9:45 PM when I went lights out and began the investigation. I had to shut down the heating system because one of the registers was so loud it would drown out all other sounds.

There were 3 others in the museum at the time and it took about a half hour to get the environment under control.

With Handy Cams set up in the 2 original sides of the building, I began EVPs sessions for the next 2 hours non stop. One of the rooms upstairs that should have been warmer was actually colder that the rest of the building, about 20 degree at the time of investigation.

This was just a sampling investigation so about the 11:30 I gathered my stuff and headed home. Was so excited about getting to the review I forgot to say goodbye to anyone, Oopsies, Sorry guys. Usually do this stuff with no one around.

In the 2 hours of documentation I picked up about 20 note worthy EVPs.
Among them were sounds such as cannon fire, drum rolls, conversations and the sound of something sliding on the floor. One of the note worthy EVPs I caught was a name.
While conducting the session I had asked the name of a possible female that may have been killed in the building while it was a saloon. The Name Miriam came back. But this was not the usual sound. It was whispered crystal clear into one of the recorders as if spoken by a human, a female human. There was a female on site but at the other end of the building. I know this for certain.
I just about fell out of my seat when I heard this and woke my wife up to hear it. She too reeled back from shock.
I no longer have this EVP as my comp crashed 2 days later because my daughter just loves to click on pretty pop ups, (19 at the time). By the time all was said and done nothing was left on the hard drive.

This was a 2 hour sampling session my friends.
I came out with more EVPs in 2 hours than most get anywhere with the highest of reputations of haunting. 1 Class A to boot.

I had no visual captures in the time frame there, just the EVPs.

If you visit the Saltsburg Museum and want to take a shot at it, contact Curator Christopher.
Be advised there must be 2 curators on site at all times and if you have them there for more than a short period please be kind and leave a nice donation to cover their private time.
$50.00 per curator is a nice donation.

There are other reported haunted locations and houses in Saltsburg to which I did not get around to investigating due to private matters but if you ask around or even ask Christopher, he will point you in the right direction.

Saltsburg Museum haunted?
It was the night I was there.

Broughton School in S Park.

Lisa and Bridget

After a long and straining investigation in somewhere Ohio, the team members were getting a little itchy for some activity. With some networking Bridget found some locals that just purchased a school on the other side of town in South Park. I had seen that the place had been looked into before but haven’t really seen any major news on paranormal activity there.
We got the place for a good rate so I thought we would use it for training purposes. Unfortunately only 2 could make it which was a set back.

Fashionably late due to traffic from Monroeville all the way into Pittsburgh I was finally able to meet up with Bridget and Lisa at the school. It was a little hard to find because once again my phone battery was dead so I couldn’t powerup the gps.

I caught a whiff of the place as soon as I got out of the car, mold.
Seeing it was just the 3 of us, I had decided to bypass the class part and we would just wing it by Q & A.
The first thing to unpack was the face covers because this place had some bacteria floating around. My buddy Bridget was already having respiratory issues and this wasn’t helping at all.

I kinda walked around without direction just taking in the place going from here to there. It is exactly what they said it was, an old school. Schools have alot of energy happening when they are in use so one would assume that some of this energy would embed itself in the hall of this place.

During the exploration time I had kept my EMF detector running and it never flickered once during tghe whole night but did go nuts over the freshly installed wiring. Note to those investigating, Don’t touch the power box or you will get one heck of a surprise.

At some point I had to lag behind so I could start my own investigation in my own fashion, I need absolute silence so I can open my mind up and sort of melt with the room, this allows me to detect the slightest movements and sounds which one of 2 things happened this night, nothing moved or I failed to open up to it.

Be advised that local teens come up to this place to smoke some weed. We had three outside that night.

Periodically I rejoined the girls to get them refocused on the mission at hand. At some point hunger over took us all so we took a break with gear still running.
stopping at the local Eat N Park we suddenly became celebs. The girl that showed us our table glanced at our shirts and came unglued. Oh my Gawd! You guys are? Oh my Gawd! You, You ,You guys are, Really? I mean like Oh my gawd! while clutching her chest. I gave a gentle smile and nodded, Lisa and Bridget did the same and the teen went on her way. I could see her face redden as she left, i figured she just realized she lost it.
Next was our waitress, a bit older and more reserved. This time I looked the other direction while she questioned Lisa and Bridget until they both in sync pointed at me, Great I thought, I am not good at this sort of stuff so I just kind of smiled and nodded until the topic of actual service came up. I get nervous around people unless I get my mind set for it.

After a filling meal, well mine was anyway we returned to find everything still in place and running. So we got our heads in the right place now that our bellies were full except for Lisa who decided on the petite meal. This came back to haunt her later.

I had left 2 cameras running that record in High Def.
Well anyway to break it down, from sundown to sun up we caught nothing, nothing at all. Not one single event of note worthiness.

We were offered an opportunity to return without being charged but after the health risk because of the massive amounts of mold in the place and one of our investigators getting seriously ill after her first visit. I opted against it. The place was for just training purposes as it was and not worth it.

Sorry, not as haunted as reported.

Also rumor has it that this group is using the place to lure girls interested in the paranormal for party sessions which was very evident on our visit by the amount of empty bottles laying around. My girls were also offered some beer on their orientation visit.
Everyone that has spent time in this field knows the 2 do not go together, PERIOD.

105.9 the eXtreme running fraud contests?

Is 105.9 The X running fraudulent contests?

Just recently The eX ran a contest for some publicity and the winner would meet Rob Zombie, How cool is that?
We one of our friends decided to enter the contest and take a shot at it.
The idea was to get a girl in a bikini and to Zombify herself.

My friend Amber Watson went all out on the make up with what she had on hand and as you can see did a fantastic job.
This is not a biased opinion, I am very critical with such things, and was very tough on my own kids if they did not put enough effort into something, I let them know.
There were about 30 entries and 3 maybe had a “ZOMBIE” look, the rest had the big Tits look and most didn’t even bother for that. There were a few Vampires that looked pretty cool but that’s not what the contest called for, It called for the Zombie look.

When it was all said and done they went for the Pole dancing big tits girl instead. O.K. Whatever but why not ask for that in the first place instead of letting these girls waste their time and efforts?

Was this the call of Rob Zombie? or 105.9 The Ex?
I had polled around 20 of our contacts on FB, some that are in the film industry and all of them came back pointing to Amber.
Either way we call it at we see it and we call Bullshit.

Prospect Place Mansion

Pending investigation of Prospect Place in Dresden Ohio. May 6th 2010.

About:

Prospect Place, also known as Trinway Mansion and Prospect Place Mansion, is a 29-room mansion built by abolitionist George Willison Adams (G. W. Adams) in Trinway, Ohio, just north of Dresden in 1856. Today, it is the home of the non-profit G. W. Adams Educational Center, Inc. The mansion is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and the Ohio Underground Railroad Association’s list of Underground Railroad sites.
This home featured many new and, for the time, revolutionary innovations. It had indoor plumbing which included a copper tank cistern on the second floor which pressurized water throughout the house. Two coal stoves had copper tanks (under pressure from the cistern system) which heated water and allowed the home to have both hot and cold running water service.
This is the second house to stand on the same foundation. The first house was destroyed by an arson-related fire shortly after its completion. The mansion was rebuilt after the fire, with modern fire stopping added to it. The interior walls of the current house are solid brick, and there is a two-inch layer of mortar between the first and second floors of the house to block fire.
Prospect Place also featured a unique refrigeration system to cool milk, cheese, butter, etc. A primitive form of “air conditioning” was created by bringing cool basement air into the living quarters during the summer months via ducts in the outside walls.

The mansion passed through the Adams-Cox family to George Cox, a grandson of G. W. Adams, who owned the property until the 1960s. In 1969 the home was sold to a distant relative of George Cox, Eugene Cox. Eugene operated a gravel mining company, the Cox Gravel Company, which proceeded to mine the remaining 275 acres (1.1 km2) associated with the estate. Cox’s wife Peggy convinced him to purchase the Edward Adams home in Adams Mills, Ohio, as well. The Cox family lived at the Adams Mills home until Eugene’s death in the 1990s.
While the Cox Gravel Company owned the Prospect Place mansion, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The deterioration of the mansion increased due to lack of maintenance and vandalism. The interior of the building was all but gutted by thieves and vandals. The estate was scheduled to be demolished in 1988. Local businessman Dave Longaberger purchased the house to prevent its destruction.
Dave Longaberger installed a new roof on the structure and increased security with the intention of restoring the home as a future Longaberger Company headquarters building. Upon choosing to construct the current headquarters of the Longaberger Basket Company in Newark, Ohio, he placed the mansion restoration project on hold.
Dave Longaberger died of cancer in the 1990s. The Longaberger Company continued to maintain security on the property until 2001 when the great-great-grandson of G. W. Adams and Longaberger relative, George J. Adams, purchased the home with the goal of finishing the restoration.
George J. Adams had investors for the project, to include adaptive reuse with a restaurant in the building. After the September 11, 2001 attacks, the investors backed out.
Adams created a non-profit, the G. W. Adams Education Center, Inc., which has owned the building since 2005. The educational center has continued the restoration.
The building is allegedly haunted and was featured in an episode of Ghost Hunters on the SyFy Channel in April 2008. It was also featured on Ghost Adventures on the Travel Channel on January 1st, 2010.

Reported Evidence

Investigation complete.
05/06/11
Conditions: Stormy
Temps: 51-55F average
Investigators on site.
Martin Garcia and Doreen Hill
5 trainees and 1 curious.

In way of audio or video I really didn’t catch much of anything with about 2 1/2 hours run time. Nothing on stills.
At one point I had just finished setting up a camera on the top floor, just after I left it, an orb in way of a bug moved in from of the camera but to me it seemed as if the camera had began to shift slightly back and forth. This was approximately 5:30am or so. It lasted maybe a minute.

During a brief EVP session in the barn with Bridget and Lisa my new investigators in training while running a shackhack that the girls had modified themselves, (I am impressed).
Lisa and Bridget were asking the question if a supposed cowboy had actually died there, a clear “NO”
came across the radio. Because of the quality I would venture to say that the answer would be authentic compared to the static that was being produced. I did not get anything legible after that but perhaps the girls have something on recording. Will post later if so.

In the barn I did get a number of sounds that clearly originated from inside the barn but could not identify it with a paranormal event. The barn itself was being left open and a host to a myriad of creatures of the area.

The house no stranger to little creatures was infested with rodents throughout the walls and ceilings and the eaves of the building had a number of birds nesting in it to include a massive owl.
From the deification on the front step there is a pretty good chance that a raccoon also is up there.

There is a map on the wall in the main area listing the level of haunting activity on a scale of 1-10 in each area, most of these areas were listed as a 10 +.
A ten plus people! That would mean that there is a 90 % chance of something paranormal would happen at some point.

My EMF detector was on the whole time and only registered when I moved it too fast.(Mel Meter Pro vibe).

Anyway the most activity I got was from my hungry stomach because I was going to get food there considered it is in a town. Trinway, Thats not a town, its just a few houses and I am not sure if they are all occupied. They don’t need a fire dept because I am sure that anyone in the community could reach any home with their garden hose.

Synopsis:

Not so active as listed. If some of those rooms are 10+ then most of Hill View Manor has to be rated about 35-50 according to the scale used.

Amenities: Coffee pot and micro wave, internet.
There is also beds, so bring a sleeping bag.
There is power to some parts of the building so bring some extension cords if you plan to set up something.

This image should sum up the experience I had at Prospect Place, $230,00 into it, no food besides a small sandwich, lack of sleep and lack of evidence.

My personal thoughts are that this place is using the HAUNTED CARD as a means to drum up revenue to continue the renovations on it. Going off of the scale and reports this place should have been off the hook given the conditions.
I think the first thing they should do is call an exterminator.

What does it take to believe?

I have had many conversations about the differences between scientific and believer and the best answer in my opinion is knowledge and experience.
When you experience something so soundly that it has no plausible explanation you can very well call it paranormal. When you have gathered enough of these experiences it becomes knowledge.
Documenting these personal experiences with various devices and discovering you can repeat the process of documentation with a different experience of the same nature becomes scientific.
At that point what makes the documented evidence valid is relevancy.
For instance during an EVP session you ask a possible spirit a name and you get a reply of lets say, “Barbara” in a womans voice, it is relevant.
One must ask then who is Barbara and why is she there? Is there documentation of a Living Barbara at that location?
If you can find out those answers you have just logged Scientific evidence.
I had once been challenged in a forum somewhere on being a Christian and yet being reputable as a Paranormal investigator, my reply was that “my belief system tells me that the soul is real and my investigations prove that there are some still on earth among us.
9 times out of 10 I have come to discover that these so called skeptics have never been on a hunt before but yet cruise these forums boards arguing every aspect of paranormal discussions.

They have the ability to go to a five and dime store and purchase a few devices and head out to find out for them selves but absolutely refuse to. I offer to set them up with a team in their general area and go on a hunt and yet they refuse to.
If you do not believe in the supernatural then how is it possible that you can argue something that doesn’t exist to you?
Could it be Fear? Fear that it does exist?

Petra a very dear friend of mine in Germany and I were planning a weekend hunting a ruin in the Spessart mountains that was supposedly the home of a witch or perhaps witches at some point as spoken history told it in that area. A young man that had taken a liking to her abit nervous about her being alone with me on this trip like many others we have taken insisted on going.
He assumed we were hiking until we had told him what we were doing. For about an hour and half we could not get him to shut up while attempting to dispel such things as nonsense, more over he was hoping to put me in a light as crazy.
He really didn’t know that Petra and I didn’t have an intimate relationship going on besides a respectful closeness. Anyway we did find our location and set up shop, we had light conversation throughout the night with a lot of negative interjections from Karl. I sat back to back with Petra and Karl sat by her side. I could hear some stones move behind me, and the click of Petra’s flashlight. I felt her jolt as it startled her. Before I could get turned around, Karl was on his feet and reeling backwards making a noise that sounded like he was chocking on own his scream, he had bolted and fell several times trying to get out of there.
Petra had exclaimed that she believes she had seen 1 or 2 stones elevated and dropped when the light hit them. Apparently Karl had seen them too.

We found Karl about a 100 yards away cursing at us, he had called Petra a whore for pulling such a prank on him and that I was nothing less than an idiot.
This was easy to absorb since we had noticed that Karl had urinated on himself a good bit which wasn’t as pleasurable from the scent on the ride home. I lost a good coat he had to sit on on the way back.

Karl had often spoke ill of Petra from that point on and had denied ever seeing what he had seen that night. Not because it didn’t happen but rather because he was still afraid of learning that what he had thought was wrong.

What does it take to believe?

Hill View Manor

A few weeks ago I received a a phone call for an invitation to go to Hill View Manor in New Castle Pa from Doreen Hill.
It would be a coop investigation with Keystone Paranormal and I was offered 4 slots at $50.00 each. Cant really beat that so I sold 2 slots to which I got stuck with because of this or that and they didn’t show.
Tip and note to self: Collect cash before submitting numbers.

I had seen this place before in my many visits to the area and always wondered about the place.
Just recently it was featured on a few Paranormal TV shows. I was a little exited about the place because it seemed as if the activity was hopping right off the get go.
It had been many years since I had been to a really good location hunt, 15 years perhaps.
As most of you know I really don’t care much for the locations thing as I am not really a thrill seeker but what the heck I thought, I am in.

I found the place and pulled up at 5:45pm, it was a half hour later til someone else showed up which gave me enough time to run down to get some fast food and a sweat shirt at the general. It was friggen cold up there and I was about to spend 12 hours in it. People started arriving while I was shoving chicken sandwiches in my mouth off the dollar menu, I was going to need the carbs and energy.

As you guys know I am a skeptical believer so I didn’t put much thought into anything, was just looking for a good hunt. I had trouble concentrating because a teen was supposedly going to join me and had not yet arrived so I was worried a good bit about her safety though I had never met this person, its still someones child.

We set up the break room while waiting for the host Candy Braniff to show.
I set up in a side room simply because I had a shit load of gear with me. It gave me an opportunity to cleanse and ground myself and clear my mind a little bit before we got started.
Yes they have a break room that was heated for the most part with a huge pot of freshly made coffee to which I had nursed a half cup down every chance I got. They also have working rest rooms there on the main floor so no need to find a tree.

I finally got to meet Doreen, a very nice person that had organized the hunt. She had left Pittsburgh Paranormal and joined up with us briefly until she had some health issues.

Anyway after all the hand shaking and meet and greet, money was exchanged and the tour began.

Tip: Record the tour, because Candy has her shit together when it comes to this place. She does all the research on this place from day one on up by hand at the library. You will hear the history on this place and some of its patients as well as the hot spots. The information is overwhelmingly interesting. A great tour Candy, thank you.

After the tour we hung out a bit which was somewhat awkward for me since I was the only male on the hunt amongst people I had never met before.
It was a good time to slam another half cup of coffee down and double check my gear. One of the younger girls there had locked her keys in the car, Kaitlynn I think her name is, I suck at names. That dampened the mood for a bit.
I almost destroyed one of my dowsing rods to open the car up when we got news that AAA was coming out to open it.
Another favor from the host, Thank you.

Doreen and her team partner teamed up.
Bridget and Lisa teamed up.
The kids Kaitlynn and Chelsey teamed up.
I hunted alone.

To explain the interest of the sounds posted, the building is pretty solid so there is no settling noises. The wind was strong at times but had little effect on the building. I sat in each position for at least 15 minutes before starting an EVP session.

My first hunt was one the second floor. The area was huge and unknowingly got my first EVP as soon as I stepped through the door. A faint scream was recorded.

I wasn’t focused yet so I didn’t hear it with my own ears and it took me a few minutes to orientate to the darkness.

After I was on the floor and the door was closed behind me a cold blast had rushed past me. The building was already 47 degrees so this air was really cold.

I had walked down to the lounge area and sat for a bit in the darkness just taking in the atmosphere. I started an EVP session and this is one of them, not a voice but a sound. I enhanced the volume on the sound for a sec so you can clearly hear it.
Right click this and open in new tab.==> piano

After the EVP session I went to see the lunch lady. I humored myself and asked a few questions while there and I think I got something. I will ask a question, listen closely for the answer.
Right click this and open in new tab.==> lunch lady

After a brief chit chat with the lunch lady I headed back down the corridor and did an EVP session in the hall way to which was pretty exiting because I was getting sounds in different areas back and forth as if jesting with me.

I did not want to hog all of the activity on this floor so I went down to warm up and switch floors, I was up there about an hour.
I didn’t tell anyone of the activity I was picking up because I wanted them to go in with an open mind as I did.

The next hunt was the 3rd floor which was a bit of a creep factor for some reason. Very very dark and cold up there and seemingly melancholic.
Here is a shot I was using extra lighting as well as flash but the image seems a little dark but I will not speculate on why. The image is original and the thumb print is still on it, see for yourself. I just found it weird on why the right side was pretty much blackened out. I use my right hand index and forefinger to hold and shoot while I hold a 9 LED pin light between the pinky and ring fingers for the extra light. I normally get some bright shots from this technique.

I did get a few sounds from up here as well.

Here is sounds as if someone flicked a light switch. You will here the sound then a pause as I snap the light around to see whats going on.

Here was a pop so loud that it echoed, It actually startled me, have a listen.

When I went down to see what was going on I picked this up.

Now just to be clear there was a pretty good chance there was someone on the bottom floor below me but also the space was dead silent and I made no reference to it so I did not hear it with my own ears. I am not calling it paranormal but it is there all the same. You decide.

Now here is one of those things I didnt get either, this was a very loud noise but I made no reference to it either which is something I always do. Might also hear voices.

About this time I headed back to warm up again. I discovered one of the kids was overwhelmed with fear while the other was ready to hunt. This is a bad mixture. Another was 2 experienced hunters together and 2 that had never hunted before.
Each of the hunters should have split and taken 2 of the others with them. 1 adult 1 youth.
This would have reduced the hysteria for the one and given more focused opportunities for the other while educating at the same time.

After more coffee and more food I headed outside. The back of this place was one huge unmarked graveyard but first I had to stop at the bunker.
This was a small 3 section storage bunker that was partially underground. When I went in my shoulder brushed against a hinge and the sound startled me. I got past it and made it to the back. It seemed creepy going in since I had no idea what was in there.

Later I took Lisa and Bridget out there and made them go in one at a time. Yeah I know what your thinking and your right, I am mean, But if they had any fear they learned to conquer it that night.

As I walked further out back aimlessly I headed for some pine trees mentioned during the tour and some rabbits bolted out of the brush. I almost shit myself on that one thinking I was going to end up a meal for a grizzlybird or something.
It took me at least a minute to regroup.

The only marked graves were a few of those of veterans, I found this one under a pine tree. Thank you for your service Mr.Jones.

Things were pretty dead in the cemetery literally so I headed back in to recharge. I had 220 minutes on my battery and it was down to 15 minutes before I even got to the grave site.

This time I downed a whole cup of coffee because it was bitter cold outside. They allowed me to smoke in the room I was occupying so that was nice.

My next destination was the basement boiler room, I had been waiting for this one all night. This is the room that had a few extras in it that takes the hunt to the edge of danger.
I got some good EVP responses from here.

I was trying to communicate with a person named Saari here. I just heard a sound that the recorder did not pick up so I tried to follow up on it.

These are just some of the highlights of the night that went on. I spent a good bit of time explaining my gear or techniques or reviewing someones camera in between hunts.
I also tried out the Singapore Theory but in a rather bad choice of rooms, The Chapel.
I played oldies off my Blackberry and used the starburst laser for lights. Some sang with while another held an evp session while Chelsey danced in the corner, yes Chelsey my cameras can see in the dark.
Its Youtube for you little one.

12 hours really went by rather quickly.
I think I made some new friends, everyone seemed pretty nice. Even with a few setbacks things went rather well.

I will finish up in the next few days on this so check back.

Here is one for the road. There is a window in the background.

If you would like to organize a group hunt I would highly suggest this place as a destination for you.
It is affordable in comparison to other places with a good set up. You have needed facilities available, there is space to stretch out and get some sleep if you bring a sleeping bag.
They give you free run of the place to do what you want, how you want but please be respectful to the place.
Don’t touch the artifacts.
Get permission before conducting experiments and please use the facilities provided for rest room breaks.
Fast food nearby and fresh coffee is made on site, not bad either.
There is also a Radio Shack right down the street in case you forgot some gear or batteries.
They also have WiFi and Hard line internet for you to use, great for live broadcasting over the net which I hear is popular hubbub these days.

SyFy faking Fact or Fake ?

You seen it, I have seen it, we have all seen the show Fact or Faked but what we don’t see often behind the scenes at Syfy is the lengths they would go to to keep their shows sensationalized.

This was reportedly the case with the highest rated paranormal show on the market, Ghost Hunters.
With viewer complaints of boredom and lack of content the producers required the team to employ gimmicks on each show in case the occurrences were not enough. I am sure all of you remember the “You’re not supposed to be here” live episode on Halloween and the tug on Grants coat.
Yep that was faked.
To maintain ratings the show began to investigate only haunted locations and stirred away from what it originally set out to do which was to help those in need and show the world a look from the inside.
One of the former cast members blew the whistle on this in a internet radio show interview. Immediately after that both this person and the radio show had taken a barrage of attacks from both fans and foes, scratching for air both sides began to attack the other. Read this Excerpt

Because the cast of Fact or Faked consisted of nitwits the producers sought out sensationalized youtube videos on the net until on day they came across one that was too good to be true.
Planchette moves on its own!. A video that had been faked to actually promote a Paranormal investigation group called “Rocky Mountain Paranormal Research Society (RMPRS)” and their show Colorado X.

The producers of SyFy offered the group $1500.00 to reproduce the video with better effects so that it could be featured on Fact or Faked.
Be it because of integrity or lack of generosity from syfy the group contacted The James Randi Foundation and blew the whistle. We or not sure on the reasoning considering they were asked to fake a fake. Go figure.

The saddest part is now hundreds of skeptics are using the video to antagonize paranormal enthusiast away from their curiosity.

We still watch all the shows out there faithfully even though we are aware of the potential for some craftiness to improve the shows ratings. We are fully aware of things that can be faked but that does not mean it was indeed a fake. All we ask is that they hire a pro like Chris Angel or David Blaine to perform the tricks.
We watch because it entertains us and for a moment takes us away from the lives we live in reality where the daily news just makes you want to shoot yourself.
It gives us a moment of awe, laughter and sometimes a great debate lasting hours.
We watch because the cameras are rolling and maybe, just maybe, that pivotal moment will occur when the unexplained does happen and it gets captured. It would be ashamed to miss it.

Keep watching……….
